Who is responsible for your data?
The controller responsible for processing personal data on this website is:
Rebecca Margit Maria Schätzmüller, WumpelworldVäskinde Björkome 444 C622 75 Visby, GotlandSwedenrebeccaschaetzmueller@gmail.comContact by email
If you contact us by email, we process the information you provide in order to answer your message.
Depending on the subject, the legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR for pre-contractual or contractual communication, or Article 6(1)(f) GDPR for other enquiries. Correspondence is deleted when it is no longer required, unless legal retention obligations apply.
Wumpelpost newsletter
If you subscribe to Wumpelpost, we process your email address, optional first name, consent information and technical confirmation data for the purpose of sending the newsletter. The legal basis is your consent under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR.
Subscription uses a double-opt-in process. After registering, you receive an email asking you to confirm your subscription. We retain the confirmation information so that we can demonstrate consent.
You may withdraw your consent at any time through the unsubscribe link included in every newsletter or by contacting us.
Newsletter delivery is intended to be handled by Brevo, operated by Sendinblue GmbH, Köpenicker Straße 126, 10179 Berlin, Germany, as a service provider acting on our behalf. This section applies once the newsletter connection is activated.
Google Analytics
With your consent, this website uses Google Analytics 4, a web analytics service provided in Europe by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.
Analytics helps us understand, in aggregated form, how visitors use the website and which content is useful.
Google Analytics is not loaded unless you select “Allow analytics” in the cookie notice. The legal basis is your consent under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR and applicable electronic-communications rules.
Depending on the service configuration, data may include online identifiers, device and browser information, approximate location, interactions, pages viewed and visit duration.
Google group companies and service providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where required, transfers are protected through an applicable adequacy decision, the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.
You can withdraw your consent at any time for the future by reopening the cookie settings. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.
Cookies and local storage
This website uses local browser storage to remember whether you accepted or rejected optional analytics. This preference is necessary to respect your choice.
Optional analytics technologies are used only after you have provided your consent.
Links to Amazon and social-media platforms
This website contains ordinary external links to Amazon, Instagram, Facebook and TikTok. No content from these platforms is automatically embedded and no connection to them is established merely because a normal text or icon link appears on this website.
When you choose to click one of these links, you leave Wumpelworld and your browser connects directly to the selected provider. The provider then receives technical connection data, such as your IP address, browser information, date and time, and the page from which you followed the link.
If you are logged into the relevant service, the provider may associate your visit with your account.
- Instagram and Facebook: Services of the Meta group. Further information is available in Meta’s Privacy Policy.
- TikTok: A service of the TikTok group. Further information is available in TikTok’s EEA Privacy Policy.
- Amazon: Book-purchase links lead to the relevant Amazon marketplace, which processes the visit under its own privacy terms.
Wumpelworld does not control the processing carried out by these independent platforms after you click a link.
If social-media feeds, videos, tracking pixels or similar embedded technologies are added in the future, this Privacy Policy and the consent mechanism will be updated before those features are activated.
Children’s privacy
Wumpelworld is created for families, but the website and newsletter registration are intended for parents, guardians and other adults.
We do not knowingly request personal data directly from children through this website. A child should not submit personal information without the involvement of a parent or guardian.
How long do we keep personal data?
We retain personal data only for as long as necessary for the stated purpose or as required by law.
Newsletter data is stored until consent is withdrawn, subject to limited retention of evidence needed to demonstrate prior consent. Statutory business and accounting records may be retained for the legally required period.
Your rights
Subject to the GDPR’s conditions, you have the right to:
- Request access to your personal data
- Request rectification of inaccurate personal data
- Request erasure of your personal data
- Request restriction of processing
- Request data portability
- Object to processing based on legitimate interests
- Withdraw your consent at any time for the future
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
Recipients and international transfers
We disclose personal data only where necessary to communicate with you, send requested newsletters, analyse the use of the website, comply with legal obligations or protect our rights.
Service providers may include email, analytics and technical-support providers. Where data is transferred outside the EEA, we use a legally recognised transfer mechanism where required.
Automated decision-making
We do not use personal data collected through this website for automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when the website, service providers or legal requirements change. The current version is always available on this page.
